July 2022 Message

Japan’s rainy season has ended much sooner than usual, and we are already experiencing day after day of extreme heat.
In this, our third summer of living with COVID-19, we will be more careful than ever to avoid heat stroke as we go about our work and other activities so that we can get through the summer.

On the other hand, measures to conserve electricity in the face of tight power supplies and carbon net zero initiatives continue to be crucial challenges, and we must be conscious of saving power while balancing it with measures to prevent heat stroke. In the workplace and at home, each and every one of us will take ownership of environmental activities and our health, and use our ingenuity and wisdom to achieve that balance.

This month is Safety Awareness Month. It goes without saying that “safety takes precedence over all else,” but for us to create truly safe workplaces, actions that approach safety from the dual perspectives of people-building and environment-building are essential.
In other words, at the same time as developing people who are able to identify and prevent risks and who will not act or cause others to act in unsafe ways, we also need to aim for equipment and workplaces that will be certain not to cause injury even if someone were to place their hands in a part of equipment unconsciously.

Every day, we will press forward with our aim to be a company that thoroughly protects the health and safety of every individual and allows them to work energetically in a safe and secure workplace environment.

I am grateful for your continued understanding and support as we strive to be a company you can trust. We intend to strengthen our corporate structure through the hard work of each employee, and devote ourselves to achieving “harmony” with our families and local communities.
