September 2022 Message

Last year, we held our first in-house contest to come up with new business ideas from All-Kojima employees, in the hope that it would lead to the creation of new business domains.
We held the contest again this year, and several proposals, including the Grand Prize winner, will now be launched as projects to consider developing into businesses.

Compared with last year, when many of the entries were ideas related to our core mobility-related businesses or service ideas, this year’s contest attracted many proposals with themes of food waste, SDGs, and carbon neutrality.
This gave me a real sense of how many employees are interested in social issues and how far our awareness raising efforts have progressed. At the same time, it made me realize anew the importance of embedding this kind of corporate culture even further.

The 49th Kojima Festival has started online again this year. This year, we are also planning to hold a physical festival for the first time in three years, albeit with fewer people and with thorough infection-prevention measures in place.
We have plans to show videos on the topic of the SDGs, and hold a power generation “relay” experience, to give employees and their families the chance to become familiar with global environmental and energy issues.

The first thing to do is for each and every one of us to address the challenge of “realizing a sustainable society” and think about what we ourselves can do now. In this way, I hope we will make steady progress, step by step, and contributions toward that goal.

I am grateful for your continued understanding and support as we strive to be a company you can trust. We intend to strengthen our corporate structure through the hard work of each employee, and devote ourselves to achieving “harmony” with our families and local communities.
