March 2024 Message

The Toyota Suppliers Convention took place on February 22.
Representing Team Kojima, we were honored to receive three prestigious awards from Toyota Motor Corporation. They were the Grand Prize for Excellence in Cost Improvement, the Technical Development Award, which we won for the first time in six years for the super-long overhead console, and Excellence in SSA Promotion.
This achievement owes much to the warm guidance of our customers and the cooperation of our suppliers, and I would like to thank them all sincerely.

The cost improvement award, in particular, is one that we have received every year for the past 44 years. At the convention venue, there was an exhibition of the grand prize-winning examples. Team Kojima’s cost improvement activities and their outcomes attracted interest from many convention delegates from Japan and overseas, and we were both honored and humbled by the attention.

Currently, automobiles are entering an era of great transformation, in which their value is changing to “mobility.”
The receipt of these prestigious awards on this occasion prompted me to reflect on the origin of our manufacturing.
More than 85 years ago, our founder, Hamakichi Kojima, agreeing with Toyota Motor Corporation’s passion for producing Japan’s own automobiles, took on the challenge of making automotive components for them. I feel a renewed sense of the intentions of our predecessors who, to this day, have overcome many hardships based on firm bonds.
Uniting with our own suppliers to create the future alongside Toyota Motor Corporation, we will continue to put those intentions into practice and strive to carry them on into the future.

I am grateful for your continued understanding and support as we strive to be a company you can trust. We intend to strengthen our corporate structure through the hard work of each employee, and devote ourselves to achieving “harmony” with our families and local communities.
