August 2024 Message

The Paris 2024 Olympics have begun. Fierce competition has unfolded day after day, and it has been heartwarming to see the athletes challenging themselves on the world stage, as well as their emotional smiles and tears.

This year, as last year, our Takaoka Plant is hosting the Toyota Production System Voluntary Study Group, and the first session of activities was held in early July. This year, under the theme of “A plant that trains people to think and act,” we will promote the development of human resources who can boldly take on challenges toward our goals as an activity directly related to All-Kojima’s vision to achieving that stated theme.
In addition, in “making someone else’s job easier,” which is the starting point of the Toyota Production System, it is important to pursue simple and streamlined manufacturing. I believe mechanisms are one effective way to achieve this.

Based on the idea of “making the things that do the manufacturing,” which has been handed down from our predecessors, we are improving our manufacturing competitiveness through improving mechanisms. Many examples of improvements using various mechanism systems can be seen when touring the site. The attitude of each and every employee to take on challenges using their own heads and hands is the source of a manufacturing company’s competitiveness.

As we move toward our 100th anniversary, we will need to do more to strengthen our manufacturing competitiveness in order to carve out our own future. We will continue to support employees who think and challenge themselves and invigorate various activities to improve safety, quality, and productivity.

I am grateful for your continued understanding and support as we strive to be a company you can trust. We intend to strengthen our corporate structure through the hard work of each employee, and devote ourselves to achieving “harmony” with our families and local communities.
