October 2024 Message
Amid the various initiatives being pursued within the company to transform awareness, for the past several years, we have been holding in-house contests to obtain business ideas and opinions from All-Kojima employees, with the ultimate objective of creating new business domains.
As part of that initiative, last month, we held a contest for the creation of innovative technologies, which is one of our carbon neutrality items.
The contest attracted many technologies and initiatives for reducing CO2 emissions from both the manufacturing divisions and the office life divisions. I believe that our corporate culture, which is based on the approaches of “giving things a full life” and “making use of the old” that have been passed down uninterrupted since the company’s foundation, has led to a high awareness of valuing the environment and to taking action.
We will now consider several of the proposals submitted to the contest, including the winning entry, with a view to eventually putting them into operation. I will continue to support employees who have flexible thinking and employees who embrace new challenges, to create this kind of proposal-oriented corporate culture together with our employees.
Also, in terms of this kind of transformation of awareness, in the promotion of DX as well, we have gradually established an environment for the use of various digital tools within the company, with the aim of strengthening our competitiveness through human resources development. To take maximum advantage of the effectiveness of DX, it is most important that we review and streamline our conventional operational processes. Sharing this as the key point of DX promotion, we will continue to support the spirit of challenge of each and every employee, to motivate them to want to try using digital tools for their own work or for any problems they encounter in the workplace.
